The founder and CEO of SaloneJamboree, Murtala Mohamed Kamara, has been invited to be a distinguished awards presenter at the 4th edition of the Liberian Film Awards. Kamara will be in Monrovia, Liberia to present an award during the event.
The Journey Home Film Festival (JHFF) and the Liberia Film Awards will take place from June 18th-21st under the theme “Uniting the African Diaspora through Cinema and Culture.” The festival highlights African storytelling and cinematic excellence, with a focus on filmmakers from Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Ghana, USA, Canada, Sweden, and beyond. The Liberia Film Awards aim to recognize and celebrate talent within the African film industry, from emerging to established professionals.
Previous attendees of these events have included well-known figures such as Richard Mofe Damijo (RMD) and Desmond Elliot, among others. Kamara, in addition to being the Founder of SaloneJamboree, Sierra Leone’s leading Arts and entertainment newspaper, is also the founder of SaloneAdventures, a travel and tour operator company.
