Chief Minister Takes Rapper LAJ to Spain

Sierra Leone’s Chief Minister, Dr David Sengeh, has announced on his official Facebook page that he will be travelling to Spain on an official trip, accompanied by the popular Sierra Leonean rapper, Amadu B. Bah, known as LAJ.

Sharing the announcement on social media, the Chief Minister, a driving force behind the Radical Inclusion Movement (RIM), recounted his journey with LAJ from their initial meeting in prison to the present day. Sengeh expressed admiration for LAJ’s transformation, highlighting his evolution into a leader and peace advocate within the community.

After safely arriving in Madrid, Spain, where Sengeh is set to deliver the Commencement Keynote at the Norman Foster Institute Master’s Programme on Sustainable Cities 2025, the Chief Minister posted about the delegation accompanying him. Members include a distinguished Member of Parliament, a young female developer from DSTI working on government service digitization, the Peace Ambassador (LAJ), a young medical doctor, and a member from the Chief Minister’s office.

The trip occurs amid a contentious situation involving LAJ and his rival Kao Denero, with a video circulating on social media showing LAJ using derogatory language towards Kao Denero during an event at the Amphitheatre at Fourabay College.
